Christmas 2011

We had such a wonderful Christmas holiday. We always have so much fun at Christmas. We go to Christmas concerts, (The Mormon Tabernacle is always my favorite), hang out with family at parties, eat way too much good food, and of course spoil each other with presents. We spent Christmas Eve with my family this year and here are the fruits of Santa's labor!

(2) Two Year Olds!

I'm totally lame at taking pictures. I *do* get quite a few with my phone and as soon as I figure out how to upload them here I can put more up on the blog. But the twins had a great birthday party at Jungle Jim's Playland. We had a small party with their cousins and friends. These two are happy to go anywhere. Really. I could have had the party at the grocery store and they would have been happy. They are always teaching me to have a new perspective. Like just be happy, or forgive and forget. Now that they are two, we have had to make some big adjustments around our house. Mom has had to learn some serious patience and whenever anyone asks how old they are, I respond "They are very 2!"

Halloween 2011

Since the twins had such amazingly beautiful long hair, I knew I wanted them to be Thing 1 and Thing 2 for Halloween. Tyler was finally a good sport when it came to costuming and agreed to be the Cat in the Hat. I was the "narrator" and we had such a great Halloween!

Trick or Treating was a BIG success!
We stopped by our FAVORITE nanny's house, Carly

Butt(e), Montana

Right before Halloween, we decided to surprise my sister Lindsie "LaLa," with a visit. I always say she lives in the Butt of America, and I needed to see for myself what Butte was all about. She is living in the Butt of America.
Assistant Basketball coach at Montana Tech University in Butte. We are so proud of her!

At night, the only way to get the twins to stay asleep in our hotel room was to drape their cribs with a blanket. I'm sure it was some sort of fire hazard. But Wilson would wake up and see the moon outside the window and then start howling like a wolf. Cute, but not conducive for sleep.

Corn Belly's

I convinced Tyler to take us all to Corn Belly's one Saturday afternoon and my family came over and hung out with us. Any excuse to get our kids out of our teenytiny place is a good one, and although they were a bit small to enjoy all that Corn Belly's had to offer, they loved to just run around and bounce (can't you tell Benji LOVED it?), and get dirty. Have I mentioned how much I adore dirty, little boys? I think boys are meant to be as dirty as possible.

4 Years

For our anniversary this year, Tyler and I went to Lava Hot Springs for a weekend getaway. I love Lava Lava! It is such a relaxing trip that is not expensive, at all. We spent our time driving around beautiful Idaho, getting a couple's massage, and watching Utah football (although Tyler was more interested in football than I was). And of course, soaking up as much hot springy goodness as possible. If you have never been to Lava, you need to give it a try. It's better than you think!

Lagoon 2011

Last summer we took the boys to Lagoon. It was a HOT summer day, but we had fun scaring the pants off our almost two-year-olds. They loved all the rides that were not the dragon roller-coaster. Tyler also claims he got heat stroke. I wonder if I can talk Ty into going again this year.

Rhett's Baptism

For Rhett's Baptism, we all went up to the Epperson's ranch. We had a fun day falling, crying, avoiding animals, and overall being grumpy.

I love this picture of all the boys

My Bosom Friend

Jackie Juanita Kartoshka Ferrell Isom is one of my best friends. We met in a faraway land known as Russia. (Are you going to miss it? What, your talking? No, Russia) She wore a puffy coat that resembled a burnt marshmallow and fell on the ice a lot. We had lots of Siberian sleepovers and loved to play charades with Russian host moms, tease our head teacher, flirt with missionaries, and eat Mentos. It was one of the best times of my life. After not seeing her for many years, I finally got to spend the day with her and her adorable little John Wayne. I can't wait to see you again Chuckie!! You dance like a feather!

Oh, and the twins came along too.

Sun Valley

We love to spend the Fourth of July in Sun Valley, Idaho.
We have a week full of fun, sun, and being with our family.
Sometimes there are even great rides included.

 We always hike a mountain...

 Or two!
 Or in Tyler's case...three!

But we mostly love to spend time together eating out, having fun, and trying to see Oprah.
