First First Birthdays

The twins are one!! We made it!! I don't know which to celebrate! We had a "Polar Express" themed birthday party for them. It was fantastic. They had pajamas with their names stitched on the bum, train cakes, a hot chocolate bar, the whole sha-bang. I deleted the photos. All of them. The only evidence that remains is a picture of the party favors. I am too heartbroken to even post that one pitiful picture. So to make this post NOT depressing here are the CUTEST pictures I have ever seen. Taken by my good friend Nicole of Abelia Photography, I couldn't be happier with the way they turned out.

I LOVE THESE LITTLE CRITTERS! Life as their mom is too much fun coupled with too much stress and at the end of the day I am always grateful I SURVIVED! They are such sweet little men and I love their spirits.

Benji is curiouser and curiouser. He likes to examine and study and examine some more. He is busy busy busy and sweet as anything. Unless you cross the line. Then there is no returning. Lucky for us, he is usually a happy Benji-boy. He loves to throw balls and chase them. He loves soda cans, water bottles, and medical syringes. He gives you "the Benji" if he isn't happy with you. Prince Wilson is absolutely charming. He has a shorter fuse than Ben, but is much easier to distract when upset. He makes us laugh all the time. I love his attitude. Always smiling, always laughing. When he is into something he knows he shouldn't he tries to *reason* with me by babbling. As if to say, "It's ok, Mom. Don't worry about it. It's only an electrical outlet." He loves to brush his hair and read stories.

I love my little men. I love them a lot. I love them so much more every day and I am always excited to watch them continue growing up. Life without them is unimaginable.

Chicago

We went to Chicago/South Bend for the Utah vs. Notre Dame football game and had a blast touring the beautiful city of Chicago, eating Chicago style pizza, hanging out with our family, riding in the back of a 15 passenger van to South Bend, touring the Notre Dame campus VIP style--even though my husband abandoned me for 45 minutes, and even watching the Utes lose to the fighting Irish in a snowy, rainy miserable game. Life as a Ute, even a cold, losing, miserable Ute, is still the BEST!

The Chi

Tracy was not having it. After backing up into the sky box, he yelled "Take the picture" and without ever looking down came back inside.

My BFF Fantastic and double cousin,

Joseph M. Rice, Dignitary

Probably the last BFF trip for awhile because Joey is getting married!!

Growing Up

The bigger these boys get, the more fun they are. With that fun comes trouble! They are finding themselves in all sorts of scrapes lately. I love their new found independence and I look forward to the messes, bumps, and tears that come with it!

Wowzer[s] Cats

The boys loved to watch Daddy play softball. Way to play Wowzers!

Haircuts=Mommy Guilt

They needed it...
I hate it!! Cutting their hair makes them look so old! My little babies!! I should have not listened to all those long-hair haters out there. I'm never cutting it again!
